I've always been a big fan of posting (or at least drafting posts) in near-real time while things are still fresh in your mind. But this summer as circumstances and bandwidth precluded that, I learned that an interesting thing happens over time ... the true highlights stand out, as I learned in this post I wrote for the website of the foundation that owns the ship:
